About Chocolate Coconut Truffles Recipe

Truffles are so simple, so flavourful and yet so versatile. And the combination of chocolate and coconut is simply amazing. Trust me, these delicious truffles won't last very long at all! This recipe is inspired from Pooja Dhingra.

Chocolate Coconut Truffles

Ingredients to make Chocolate Coconut Truffles

  • 100ml coconut milk
  • 50ml cream
  • 350g dark chocolate
  • 100g desiccated coconut

How to make Chocolate Coconut Truffles

  1. Melt the dark chocolate in the microwave or over a hot water bath.
  2. Heat the cream and coconut milk for 1 1/2 minutes in the microwave or boil on a stove over medium heat.
  3. Pour the boiled cream over the chocolate and gently whisk till homogeneous.
  4. Add half the desiccated coconut and mix well.
  5. Refrigerate the mixture for at least 2 hours (up to overnight)
  6. Make balls of equal size and roll them in the remaining desiccated coconut and leave in the fridge to harden.
  7. Bring it to room temperature before serving.

My Tip:

Always use fine desiccated coconut so that it would be easy for you to roll into balls. Use fork to take out the balls from the chocolate after coating. Storage tip: Place the truffles in an air tight container at room temperature or can also store it in the refrigerator.
