Ingredients to make Fish cakes

  • Rohu fish - 100 gm
  • potatoes (diced) - 1
  • Fried onion - 1/4 th cup
  • chilly flakes - 2 tsp
  • Oregano- 2 tsp
  • ginger & garlic (chopped) - 1 tbsp
  • egg - 1
  • Grated cheese - 4 tbsp
  • butter - 3 tbsp
  • salt
  • Refined oil
  • Bread crumbs - 2 tsp

How to make Fish cakes

  1. Deep fry the fish pieces and the potatoes in hot oil. De-bone the fish pieces.
  2. Now make a paste of the fried fish pieces, potatoes, fried onion, ginger , garlic, chilli flakes with an egg , in a blender.
  3. Add half the cheese, half the butter, salt, oregano and chilly flakes to above paste.
  4. Now grease a baking tray and spread the fish mixture into it
  5. Sprinkle bread crumbs and rest of the cheese on top and bake it at 180 degree Celsius in a preheated oven for 30 minutes or till the top is golden brown. Cut and serve
