ABOUT Mussels steamed cake RECIPE

Mussels stuffed with spiced rice flour masala and steamed.Goes well with ginger black tea.

Ingredients Serving: 8

  1. 15 Mussels cleaned
  2. 1 3/4 cup Rice flour
  3. 1 1/4 cup grated coconut
  4. 10-15 small onions
  5. 1"cinnamon stick
  6. 3 tsp fennel seeds
  7. 1 1/4 tsp chilli powder
  8. 1/2 tsp turmeric powder
  9. 5 peppercorns
  10. Salt

Instructions

  1. Mix rice flour and coconut , keep aside.
  2. Blend other ingredients to smooth paste.
  3. Adjust salt
  4. Add in the paste to the flour mixture and combine.
  5. Add hot water to the mixture and make a dough out of it.
  6. Stuff this dough inside the mussel shells.
  7. Steam for 15 min
