Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. 1 cup whole black gram
  2. 1/4 cup kidney beans
  3. 2 onions (chopped)
  4. 4 garlic (chopped)
  5. 2 tomatoes (chopped)
  6. 2 Green chilli (chopped)
  7. 2 table spoon ghee
  8. 1 inch ginger (grated)
  9. 1 cup Cream
  10. 1 pinch hing [asafoetida]
  11. 1 spoon coriander powder
  12. Half spoon garam Masala powder
  13. Half spoon Turmeric powder
  14. Half spoon red chilli powder
  15. 1 Spoon cumin seeds
  16. 4 cup water
  17. Salt to taste
  18. 1 BAY LEAVES
  19. Half cup milk
  20. 1 inch cinnamon
  21. 2 cloves
  22. Half spoon kasuri Methi
  23. Garnish with green coriander

Instructions

  1. Soak the dal for 30 minutes in water with kidney beans.
  2. In pressure cooker boil the dal with half of onions, half the tomatoes ,1 inch of cinnamon,cloves,Half cup milk and add Salt according to your taste. close the lid and cook it for 20 to 30 mins.
  3. Take a kadai put ghee in it let the ghee heat. Now add cumin seeds,bay leaves,hing,garlic and ginger saute it well for few second. Add all the spices cook it well.
  4. After few second Add half onions saute it well.Half tomotes saute it well. Add the boil dal and cook it well. Now add cream mix it well. Cook for last 5 to 6 mins.
  5. Now its ready to eat. Garnish with cream and green coriander.
