Ingredients to make Kadarangai / Wild Lemon Rice

  • rice - 1 cup
  • Sesame oil - 1 tsp for rice
  • salt - To tatse
  • Kadarangai / Wild lemon - 1
  • To Temper
  • Sesame oil - 1 tbsp
  • mustard seeds -1/2 tsp
  • urad dal - 1/2 tsp
  • Channa dal - 2 tsp
  • curry leaves - 1 sprig
  • hing -1/4 tsp
  • turmeric Powder -1/2 tsp
  • Green chilli - 1 (finely chopped)
  • ginger - 1 tsp (finely chopped)

How to make Kadarangai / Wild Lemon Rice

  1. *Cook the rice such a way that each grains are seperate.Spread it on a plate,mix the the 1 tsp sesame oil .So that the grains will not stick together.
  2. *Squeeze out the juice from the kadarangai .Add it to the rice.Mix it !!
  3. *Heat oil in kadai add the tempering ingredients one by one and add to the cooked rice and salt.Mix it well .
  4. *Serve it with roasted potato or chips.

My Tip:

*Adjust the salt and kadarangai juice according to your taste.
