Ingredients to make chana dal khichdi with spinach and tomato

  • rice 2 bowl
  • chana Daal 1/2 cup
  • salt to taste
  • whole red chili 2 nos.
  • spinach chopped 2 cup
  • sliced tomato 2 no .
  • turmeric powder 1 tsp
  • sliced onion 2 no .
  • ghee 2 Tbsp
  • lemon juice 1 tbsp
  • cumin Seeds 1 tsp
  • red chilly powder 1 tsp

How to make chana dal khichdi with spinach and tomato

  1. wash and soak for 1/2 an hour rice and daal .chop the spinach leaves . cook the dal and rice together with salt and turmeric powder till it done
  2. heat the ghee in another pan ,pop the cumin seeds and fry onion now add the chopped spinach and tomato cook it for 5 minute add red chilly powder and lemon juice .
  3. now add cooked khichdi .cook it for 5 minute more . garnish with dry red chilly ,serve hot.
