ABOUT Suji ka halwa RECIPE

Suji with milk and sugar- a breakfast recipe of maharashtrian cuisine.It is also made on auspicious occasions.

Ingredients Serving: 2

  1. 200 grams suji
  2. 250 gram sugar (depend upon sweetness)
  3. 2- 4 table spoon ghee (can add more)
  4. Water+ milk- 1 cup each
  5. elaichi powder
  6. dry fruits as per choice

Instructions

  1. Heat the two spoon of ghee and add the suji, roast it nicely till it starts giving aroma, once it's done slow down the stove and add approx two cups of water(1 cup water+1cup milk), and bring it to boil. Once boiled add the sugar and dry fruits.You can fry the dry fruits separately too and then add.
  2. Mix well and cover with lid, till the water evaporates, finally add the elaichi powder and cover again wwith the lid and switch off the stove keep it for 10 minutes and then serve.
