ABOUT Wheat discs RECIPE

My kids like to taste something that looks attractive and easy to eat finger foods. So, just gave a try with wheat flour base and more veggies on top with less cheese.

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. Wheat flour- 200 gms
  2. Yeast- 1 spoon
  3. Sugar- 1 spoon
  4. Veggies like bell pepper, onion, tomato , mushrooms and olives
  5. Salt-1 tsp
  6. Oregano herb - 2 pinches
  7. Red chilli sauce- 8 spoons ( 1spoon for each disc)
  8. Garlic cheese spread
  9. Mozerella cheese - grated
  10. Olive oil - for brushing

Instructions

  1. In a glass, add 1 spoon of sugar. To this add 1 spoon of active dry yeast. Now add luke warm milk. After few seconds we will be able to smell sour smell and the liquid in glass looks foamy.
  2. In a bowl add 200 gms wheat flour and this liquid and knead it for 5 min. Actually yeast is a microscopic fungi which converts sugar into alcohol and carbon dioxide. So, due to this reaction, the wheat flour rises to double its size .
  3. Keep dough aside for 90 min.
  4. In a nonstick pan , add a few drops of oil and saute mushrooms, bell peppers for 5min. We should take care that our veggies retain their colour but slightly cooked.
  5. Once the dough rises, knead it again and make into 8 balls.
  6. With our fingers , we can make balls into patties. Now take a cookie cutter and remove the extra sides of the disc.
  7. Preheat oven to 180 C . Now place these discs on a baking grag and bake for 15 min.
  8. Now remove the baking tray from oven and start decirating the discs with red chilli sauce, next garlic cream cheese and then grated mozerella and finally with veggies .
  9. Now place this baking tray into oven and bake it for 35 min
  10. Take out from oven and our WHEAT DISCS are ready to be served.
