ABOUT Tomato Rasam RECIPE

A perfect recipe for you to enjoy the true flavours of home-made south Indian cooking. Rasam is an essential part of every south Indian meal, and is usually served as the second main course following sambhar.

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. 6 to 7 Tomatoes
  2. 1 teaspoon of Haldi
  3. 2 spoon of Sambhar Powder
  4. Salt for taste
  5. 1/2 teaspoon of Mustard Seeds
  6. 3 kashmiri chillies
  7. 10 curry leaves
  8. 1/2 teaspoon of Jeera

Instructions

  1. Boil the tomatos in a kadai. Once the tomato is fully boiled drain the water and take it in a bowl
  2. Smash the tomato in a grinder in a form of puree. Add 1 cup of water and boil in a kadai
  3. Add salt, haldi and sambhar powder and allow it to boiled fully. Close the flame and put it aside.
  4. Take another kadai , add little oil, add little hing, mustard seeds, jeera, kashmiri chillies and curry leaves for the tadka. Add this tadka in the Tomato Rasam.
  5. Serve this rasam with hot rice.
