Who’s in for pizza, guess everyone would have shouted me me!!! :) Pizza is fav for all aged people and that too if its prepared healthy and prepared at home then it’s no more junk food.

Ingredients Serving: 2
For the crust:
Whole wheat flour – 1 and 1/2 cups
All Purpose flour – 1/2 Cup for dusting
Yeast – 1 Packet (2 and 1/4 tspoon)
Wheat Gluten or Flax seeds powder – 2 tspoon
Honey – 1 and 1/2 tbspoon
Water – 1 Cup
Salt – 1 Tspoon
Olive oil – 2 tspoon
Semolina/rava – 2 tspoon
For the Sauce:
Tomato – 3
Onion – 1/2 finely chopped
Garlic – 3-4 cloves
Oregano – 1 tspoon
Basil – 1 tspoon
Sugar – 1 tspoon
Red chilli flakes – 1 tspoon (as per your taste)
Olive oil – 1 tspoon
For Toppings:
Veggies of your choice
Mozzarella Cheese
Instructions
For crust:
Take 1 cup water and keep in microwave for 30 secs.
Add honey in water and stir well.
Add yeast in water and keep it aside for 5 mins until you see bubbles formed.
After 5 mins add 1 and 1/2 cup whole wheat flour,Wheat gluten or flax seed powder and salt in the yeast mixture
Mix well using wooden ladle until the flour get mixed will with water, forming a sticky dough.
In a clean surface spread 1/4 cup of flour, place the dough and knead well for 5 mins.
Knead until all the flour gets mixed well and a non sticky sigh is formed
In a bowl spread 1 tspoon olive oil, make the dough into stiff round shape and place it in the bowl
Rub 1 tspoon olive on the dough, cover it using damp cloth for 1 hr.
After an hour you’ll see the dough has doubled.
In a clean surface add little flour and Knead the dough again until the flour is mixed well
Again keep it in bowl damp cloth covered for 45 mins
After 45 mins the dough would have doubled the size, keep the dough in a air tight container and keep it in fridge for 2 hrs (this step is optional)
Sauce preparation:
In a vessel, add water and bring it to boil.
Take the tomatoes, make cross cuts to the skin and keep aside.
Once water starts to bubble add tomatoes and blanch it until the peel starts to come out.
Remove the tomatoes from boiling water and peel the skin out.
Ground the tomatoes in mixer until you get a nice tomato paste.
In a pan add 1 tspoon olive oil, once oil gets heated, add finely chopped garlic and saute for 10 secs.
Then add finely chopped onions, add salt and saute well until onions becomes translucent.
Add Tomato puree, red chili flakes, oregano, sugar, parsley, tomato ketchup and mix well.
Cook the sauce in low flame for 5 mins and switch off the stove.
Assembling Pizza:
Remove the dough from fridge and keep aside until it comes to normal temperature.
In a clean surface spread 1 tbspoon of flour and semolina and knead the dough until flour and semolina gets mixed in dough.
Take the dough roll it into round shape as per the size of your pizza pan.
Once the dough is rolled, transfer the base into pizza pan which is greased with oil. ( I don’t have pizza pan so I used back side of round cake mold)
Using fork prick the dough in several places. so that the dough wont rise.
Then spread the sauce prepared evenly in the base.
Spread mozzarella cheese and all the veggies of your choice.
After adding veggies add mozzarella again.
Pre-heat oven for 450F and bake the pizza for 15- 17 mins and give standing time for 5 mins.
Once you see the edges are crisp and golden brown, remove from oven and keep it in cooling rack.
Cut into pieces and serve :)
