Ingredients Serving: 5

  1. curry leaves
  2. oil
  3. urad dal
  4. Toordal
  5. Cumin seeds
  6. Mustard seeds
  7. Raddish 1
  8. Bottle guard 1/4 slice
  9. Onions 2 small
  10. tomatoes 2 large
  11. Chilli powder
  12. Turmeric poweder
  13. Red chillies
  14. Chana dal
  15. Salt as per the taste

Instructions

  1. Receipe for Sambhar Powder
  2. Heating up ingredients on a frying pan without oil, making sambar powder by dry roasting is a quick way to create a more mild flavoured version of the powder
  3. The ingredients are red chillies,curry leaves,coriander seeds dry,1/2 teaspoon of jeera, 2 peices of coconut,channa dal,urad dal,black pepper,hing powder.
  4. Preparation of Sambhar
  5. Cook the Toor dal for 15 minutes. Meanwhile cut all vegetables in to medium pieces
  6. Put all these vegetables in the dal which is already cooked . Add salt,chilli powder :1 spoon, Sambar powder which is grinded, 1/2 teaspoon of turmeric, juice from tamarind.
  7. g properly and put the cooker for 1 whistle
  8. Remove the Sambhar in a Bowl and after that put the tadka with cumin seeds,urad dal,channa dal,curry leaves,red chilles,mustard seeds
  9. The Sambhar is ready to be served. This Sambhar can be served with Idli, Dosa , Vada, Upma.Depending upon the requirements.
