Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. Rice 1/2 cup
  2. Redgram dal 1/2 cup
  3. Water 51/2 cups
  4. Tamarind size of a lime
  5. Onions 1 or small onions1/2 cup
  6. 150 gms vegetables of choice
  7. Spice mix
  8. 2 tsp coriander seeds
  9. Copra dry 4tbsp
  10. Redchillies 5 to 6 (or as per taste)
  11. Peppercorns 1/4 tsp
  12. Cinnamon 2 pieces
  13. Cloves 2nos
  14. Black gram 1tsp
  15. Began gram dal 1tsp
  16. Turmeric powder 1/2 tsp
  17. Salt 2 tsp
  18. Jaggery a small piece
  19. Seasoning
  20. Oil 3 tbsp
  21. Ghee 2 Tbsp
  22. Mustard seeds 1tsp
  23. Curry leaves 2 springs
  24. Red Chilli 2
  25. Cashews 1 tbsp
  26. Cumin 1/2 tsp
  27. Garlic 6 pieces

Instructions

  1. 1) cook rice and red gram dal in pressure cooker .
  2. 2) cook ur vegetables after they become little soft add tamarind juice and cook for 5 min
  3. 3) dry roast ur spice mix one after other keeping copra the last one to roast using little oil then powder them
  4. 4) add vegetables to cooked rice add the spice mix cook for 5 min add seasoning and serve .
