Ingredients Serving: 6

  1. 250 grams Mawa
  2. ĵ cup Sugar (powdered preferably)
  3. 1 tbsp Cocoa (unsweetened) Powder
  4. 2 tsp desiccated coconut powder(optional)
  5. 8-10 almonds (powdered)
  6. 6-8 cashews (powdered)
  7. 5-6 cardamom/elaichi powder

Instructions

  1. Cook mawa on low flame in a non stick pan. It will get liquidy with lots of ghee first then will start leaving the sides of the pan. Switch off the gas when it comes together. Let the mawa cool for some time.
  2. Add sugar to the mawa. Taste and adjust sugar accordingly as per your taste.
  3. Now divide mawa into two equal halves.
  4. Add cocoa powder to one and desiccated coconut if using, almonds, cashews and elaichi powder to the other.
  5. Spread a cling wrap on the kitchen slab. Now roll the cocoa dough with your hands ( just like the way you make chapatti using hands) and not the rolling pin.
  6. Now take the other dough with almonds and cashews that you made and repeat the process placing it on top of the cocoa dough.
  7. Roll the layers, carefully Wrap them tightly with a cling wrap and refrigerate for around 30 minutes.
  8. Remove the cling wrap and cut rolls. Keep refrigerated and take them out for some time before serving. Relish and enjoy your dessert.
