This is a bit of a fusion dish. Very easy and always a hit.
Boil water in a pan. Put the lotus stem and REMOVE IMMEDIATEDLY. Cool them
Coat the lotus stems with cornflour mixed with chicken powder / ajino moto
In a deep pan , deep fry these I oil in WARM oil. Fry for 5 mns and remove
In a non stick frying pan , take 1 tsp oil. Add ginger , garlic and red chilli till light brown. To this add honey and REMOVE the pan from gas.
Now add ketchup and the lotus stems to this. Put the pan back on the gas and mix for a minute.
Garnish with green dhania patta ( coriander ) leaves.
