Ingredients Serving: 2

  1. Brown Rice–2 cup
  2. Jaggery– 150gm
  3. Boiled Milk with cream - 2 cup
  4. clarified butter (Ghee)- 1-2table spoon
  5. Fresh coconut grated- 30 gm
  6. cardamom powder-½ tea spoon
  7. cashew nut (halves)- 25 gm
  8. Raisins- 15 gm
  9. almond - 15 gm
  10. Water- 500 ml or more if necessary


  1. Clean and wash the brown rice. On medium gas flame pour 3 ½ cup water into the pressure cooker.
  2. Add brown rice & cooked. Open the pressure cooker smash the brown rice and make a coarsely paste.
  3. Cut almond into fine chopped. Jaggery and fresh grated coconut into the lukewarm or chilled milk stir well. Milk became sweet.
  4. Fry all dry fruits on low flame in ghee in fry pan & add above sweet milk.
  5. Add cooked brown rice coarsely paste and cardamom’s powder into the sweet milk mix it well.
  6. Garnish with fried dry fruits then your Healthy Brown Rice Kheer ready to eat. Serve hot or chilled.
