Matar paneer

Ingredients to make Matar paneer

  • paneer 200 gm
  • Green peas 300 gm
  • 3 cardamom
  • 1 star aneseed
  • 2 bay leaves
  • I red chilli
  • Kashmiri red mirch powder 1 tbsp
  • jeera powder 1/2 teaspoon
  • Kasuri methi 1 teaspoon
  • Kitchen king masala 1 tbsp
  • Garam masala 1 teaspoon
  • Dhaniya powder 1 tbsp
  • salt as required
  • sugar pinch of
  • Black salt
  • onion 2 medium
  • tomato 3 medium
  • Gerlic 5 to 6
  • cashew 10 to 12
  • ginger 1 inch
  • malai or fresh cream 2 tbsp
  • Oil or deshi ghee 3 to 4 tbsp
  • butter 1 tbsp

How to make Matar paneer

  1. Roughly chop ginger, garlic, onion and tomatoes.
  2. Heat a pab add i tbsp oil, now add ginger and garlic and saute for 30 sec.
  3. Now add onions and saute for 5 to 6 minutes or till it become translucent.
  4. Now add tomatoes and cover with lid till they becomes soft.
  5. Cool down this mixture completely when cooked and grind into a smooth paste.
  6. Heat a pan add 2 tbsp oil, 1 tbsp butter and all whole spices and saute for 10 to 15 sec.
  7. Add kashmiri mirch powder and turmeric powder, saute for 5 sec and add the paste in it stir for 2 minutes.
  8. Add malai/cream to this and stir for 2 minutes. Now add all dry spices. And cover with lid fir 6 to 7 minutes.
  9. Now add pre boiled peas and paneer cubes to it. After 10 minutes remove the lid and add roasted Kasuri methi to it.
  10. Garnish it with butter and coriander.
