Ingredients Serving: 2

  1. Wheat / godhumai- 1 cup
  2. Grated coconut - 2 tbsp
  3. Ghee -1 tsp
  4. Sugar 2 tsp
  5. Warm water as required
  6. Salt as required

Instructions

  1. Dry roast wheat flour over medium or low flame, continue roasting for about 5 to 10 minutes or until raw smell goes and flour would have changed its color to a slightly brown color .Remove from the stove and transfer it to.
  2. Once it cools down, sprinkle water little by little to the flour and mix gently and mix them until you get a lump free texture.you can optionally whip in a mixer to remove lump.
  3. Meanwhile heat some water in a cooker and in a puttu maker,put some coconut and then spread the crumbly flour and again some coconut on top and steam it for 10 minutes or until well cooked. Allow them to cool.
  4. Put the cooked puttu in a bowl, add some fresh grated coconut, required sugar and ghee, mix everything well together and serve immediately.
