Fish in tangy tamarind sauce is always a perfect tangy meal to taste

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. Fish- 1 kg
  2. Salt- as per our taste
  3. Chilli powder- 1 spoon
  4. Turmeric powder- 1 tsp
  5. Pepper powder- 1 tsp
  6. Tamarind juice squeezed- 1 cup
  7. Coriander powder- 1spoon
  8. Cumin Powder- 1tsp
  9. Oil- 2tbsp
  10. Coriander leaves- little to garnish
  11. Onions- 3 ( finely chopped)
  12. Ginger garlic paste- 1 spoon

Instructions

  1. Clean fish slices with salt and turmeric to avoid any chance of food poisoning.
  2. Heat a large non stick pan and add oil
  3. Now add finely chopped onions and fry till golden brown
  4. Now add ginger garlic paste and saute for few minutes.
  5. Now add salt, turmeric, Chilli powder, Coriander powder, cumin powder, Pepper powder and saute for few minutes. Now add tamarind extract juice and mix well. Now add 2 glasses of water and bring it to a boil.
  6. Now gently add fish pieces and let it cook in slow flame for atleast 15 minutes.
  7. When the sauce thickens, switch off the stove and garnish with coriander leaves.
  8. Serve it with hot rice.
