Ingredients to make Butter prawns masala

  • Prawns- 1kg
  • onions- 2
  • tomatoes- 4
  • Salt, chilli powder and turmeric- as per our taste
  • ginger - 1 inch piece
  • garlic- 6 pods
  • coriander powder- 2 spoons
  • Cumic powder- 2 tsp
  • butter 50 gms
  • oil- 2 tbsp
  • cinnamon stick- half inch
  • cloves - 3
  • curd- half cup
  • Fresh cream - for topping

How to make Butter prawns masala

  1. Cleans prawns with salt and turmeric
  2. Add salt, chilli powder and turmeric to prawns and keep aside
  3. In a non stick pan and add oil to it. Now add cloves and cinnamon. Next add onion, ginger, garlic and fry for 5 min. Next add tomatoes
  4. Fry till tomatoes are soft and pulpy.
  5. Let this mixture cool under fan
  6. When cooled, blend it and make a thick paste along with yogurt
  7. Now in the same non stick pan add butter and oil.
  8. Add marinated prawns and saute well.now add the blended Paste and 2 glasses of water.
  9. When the gravy gets thickened, switch off the flame and sprinkle coriander leaves

My Tip:

Add yogurt while blending the mixture.
