Fish nuggets

Ingredients to make Fish nuggets

  • 1/2 kg salmon fish
  • 1/2 liter buttermilk
  • 1 raw boiled banana
  • 1 boiled medium sized potato
  • 1 boiled medium sized sweet potato
  • 1 tsp of ginger- garlic paste
  • 1 tsp of garam masala
  • 1 tsp of red chilli powder
  • 1/2 tsp of amchur powder
  • 1/2 tsp of saunth powder
  • 1 tsp of lemon juice
  • 1/2 cup nicely chopped coriander
  • 1 medium sized nicely diced onion
  • 2 chopped green chilly
  • 4-5 crushed cashew nuts
  • For Coating 1 cup crushed corn flakes
  • 1 egg +1/4 cup maida +1 tsp of corn starch
  • Pinch of salt and black pepper
  • For Salad- 1/2 cup big sized diced green pepper
  • 1/2 cup same sized red pepper
  • 8-10 bulbs of spring onions
  • 1 tsp of olive oil
  • 1/2 tsp of chilly flakes
  • pinch of salt
  • Cooking oil for nuggets- frying
  • salt to taste

How to make Fish nuggets

  1. Take a pan add oil, ginger- garlic paste after few seconds add 1:1 ratio of buttermilk and water, add salt and the salmon fish pieces and boil it.
  2. After fish is done, separate the fish from the boiling buttermilk and water and carefully separate the fish bones from flesh. Reserve the flesh.
  3. In a big bowl add all ingredients like boiled raw banana, boiled sweet potato, boiled potato,garam masala, amchur powder,lemon juice, saunth powder, red chilli powder,nicely chopped coriander, green chilly, diced onion and add salt to taste
  4. After mixing all ingredients, add boiled fish and nicely crushed cashew nuts, mix well and make into nuggets shape, keep aside.
  5. In another bowl break egg, add maida, corn starch, pinch of salt and black pepper and mix well.
  6. Take the prepared fish nuggets,dip in this egg mixture and coated with corn flakes and fry it till the light brown in colour. Repeat till fish mixture is used up.
  7. For Salad- take a bowl and add green and red pepper, salt,olive oil, black pepper,spring onion bulb mix well, transfer to a big sized metal strainer and keep it on direct heat for few seconds, tossing it fast.It is for a smoky taste.
  8. When done, serve nuggets with green chutney and the smoky and healthy salad.
