Crispy potatoes

Ingredients to make Crispy potatoes

  • potatoes- 1kg
  • salt- as per our taste
  • turmeric- 2 pinches
  • chilli powder- 1 tsp
  • lemon juice 10 drops

How to make Crispy potatoes

  1. Take big size and firm potatoes and add little salt to it and cook for 1 whistle in pressure cooker.
  2. Now open the pressure cooker slowly and peel the outer skin of potatoes and cut into long strips.
  3. Heat oil in a skillet and add 3 tbsp of oil and shallow fry till crisp and drain them on a kitchen paper towel. Do it in batches till all the potato slices are done.
  4. Now in the same skillet, add seasoning and curry leaves and then these crispy potatoes. Add salt, turmeric and chilli powder and stir fry fir 5 minutes. Switch off the stove and add lemon juice and coriander leaves.
  5. Serve hot.

My Tip:

Don't over cook potatoes. Firm potatoes will give a crispy effect.
