ABOUT Molten Chocolate Lava Cake RECIPE

I made these molten chocolate lava cake for my grandson Rudraaksh. He is so fond of good food that he usually has a list of dishes for me to make for him whenever he visits me during vacations. These molten cakes are simply divine. I don’t have the words to describe them. They were so easy to make and hardly takes few minutes to bake. These are best served straight from the oven with the hot lava oozing out from the cakes.

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. Dark chocolate- 200g
  2. butter- 200g
  3. egg yolks- 2
  4. eggs- 4
  5. sugar- 150g
  6. flour- 50g
  7. Vanilla- 1 tsp
  8. butter for greasing and cocoa powder for dusting

Instructions

  1. Take a microwave safe bowl, add in chocolate and butter. Microwave it for 1 minute. Stir to combine well. Add powdered sugar and mix well. Add beaten eggs and vanilla essence to it.
  2. Finally add all purpose flour, fold it lightly. Grease the ramekins with butter and sprinkle cocoa powder. Pour the batter in it.
  3. Bake for 12 minutes and take care not to over bake. Cool for few minutes then run a knife around the edges of the ramekins and flip it carefully. Serve with ice cream or fresh fruits.
