ABOUT Indian Cucumber Dosas.. RECIPE

Known by so many names, budma in urdu, dosakai in telugu, this yellow spherical cucumber is very good to eat. It is very rich in Vitamins A,B,C and K. This Vit K is vital for bone mass and it increases the osteotropic promotion in joints. It is helpful for people with Alzheimer 's disease

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. Yellow cucumber 1 cup
  2. Raw rice soaked 1 cup
  3. Salt to taste
  4. Ginger 1" piece
  5. Green chillies 2 or 3
  6. Coriander leaves chopped a handful
  7. Water just a little

Instructions

  1. Wash and soak the rice for 2 hours or better still overnight.
  2. Cut the cucumber into small pieces and discard the seeds.
  3. Blend all the ingredients to a thick batter just like that of the regular dosa batter
  4. Make dosas as usual.
  5. Serve them hot with any chutney. I served them with onion and tomato chutney.
