ABOUT Bottle Gourd Peel Fry.. RECIPE

My mother in law's simple recipe. Goes well with plain rice. It tastes too good. Everytime you make bottlegourd curry, use the peels also. Put them to use in this awesome stir fry dish.

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. Bottlegourd large 1
  2. Chilli powder 1 tbsp
  3. Salt 1 tsp
  4. Turmeric 1/2 tsp
  5. Ginger garlic paste 1 tsp

Instructions

  1. Wash and peel the bottlegourd.
  2. Try to cut the peels into thin strips.
  3. Heat the oil and add the ginger garlic paste and saute it for a minute. Then add the peel strips and all the other masalas now.
  4. Cover and cook on low flame for 3 to 4 mins.
  5. Do not cook much. Stir fry for 5 to 8 mins in all and switch off the flame. The raw smell must disappear.
  6. Serve it hot with plain rice.
