ABOUT RED BELL PEPPER HALWA RECIPE

Red Bell Pepper is loved for its sweet, juicy flavor and bright red color. If cooked for a short period on low heat, bell peppers retain most of their sweet, almost fruity flavor and flavonoid content, which is a powerful nutrient.

Ingredients Serving: 2

  1. Red bell pepper puree-1/2 cup
  2. Milk - 1/2 cup
  3. Sugar-1/4 cup
  4. Grated dry coconut-1/4 cup
  5. Cardamom essence -1/2 tsp
  6. Ghee-1 tbsp
  7. Rose water- 1 tsp
  8. Beet powder-1/4 tsp(optional)
  9. Ghee-1 tbsp
  10. Pistachios for garnishing

Instructions

  1. In a heavy bottom pan, heat ghee add bell pepper puree and sauté till the water dries up and raw smell goes off.
  2. Add milk,rose water,cardomom essence and beet powder cook for another few minutes then add sugar, mix well and cook till it starts boiling,add grated coconut stir continuously till the mixture starts leaving the pan and gets thick.
  3. Take it off the stove.Garnish with pistachios
