ABOUT Kodaishutir Kochuri / Matar ki kachori RECIPE

Kodaishutir kochuri is a typical Bengali dish that is savoured during the winter months. The fresh, green peas are the best filling. However on off seasons you can also use frozen peaas.

Ingredients Serving: 5

  1. 300 gm flour
  2. Salt to season
  3. 1 tbsp oil
  4. For the filling
  5. 2 cups green peas
  6. i tbsp chopped ginger
  7. 1 tbsp chopped green chilli
  8. Salt to taste

Instructions

  1. Sift the flour and add the salt. Rub in the oil thoroughly. Now knead using little water and form dough.
  2. Grind together green peas, ginger and chilli. Heat some oil and add the paste. Cook on a high flame, stirring all the time. You have to cook till it dried up completely.
  3. Now take small balls of the dough and add the filling.
  4. Roll into small puris and deep fry.
