Ingredients to make Leftover Dal Roti

  • Left over dal 2 cups
  • Onion 1 (can use green onions too for a different taste)
  • garlic 4 to 5 pods chopped finely.(green garlic can also be used)
  • coriander leaves handful, chopped finely
  • Dry masala powder(chilli pwdr,coriander pwdr,zeera pwdr,salt,anardana pwdr)
  • Whole wheat flour 4 to 5 tbsp(can add more but dnt make a dough consistency)shuld be like a thick batter.

How to make Leftover Dal Roti

  1. Take the dal and add chopped onions, coriander leaves ,garlic and dry masala
  2. Mix well add gradually add the flour.No need to add a lot of flour.
  3. This should be the consistency.not runny nor v tight dough.
  4. Take a griddle and add 1 tbsp batter and spread like a small roundel(mini roti),flatten it with the spatula and pour little oil if needed. shallow fry them on slow flame till golden brown on both side.
  5. Enjoy as it is or with schzewan chutney.
