ABOUT Uttapam/southindian pan cakes RECIPE

This pan cakes loaded with veggies served with sambher or rasam

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. For dough
  2. Rice 2cups
  3. Urad dal 1cup
  4. Finely grated carrot 1/2cup
  5. Chopped capsicum 1/2cup
  6. Cottage cheese grated1/2cup
  7. Salt to taste
  8. Oil as needed

Instructions

  1. Soak rice and dal for 6hours
  2. Grind after 6 hours and let them rest for 7-8hours for fermentation
  3. After fermentation mix water to the batter to make it consistency of a pan cake
  4. Mix salt to the batter
  5. Greese a nonstick pan pour some batter over the pan spread it round
  6. Lower the flame place veggies and cottage cheese
  7. Cook from both sides and serve
