ABOUT Ravva dosa RECIPE

Ravva dosa is all time favourite from many centuries. Chefs who worked in palaces, must have invented this easy instant recipe when they were running out of urid dal batter. This dosa looks like a dosa with holes. All kids love to see the holes in dosa. Its very easy to make . Try this as an evening snack for your kids ( because it takes little longer time to cook than ordinary dosa).

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. Sooji- 1 cup
  2. Rice Flour-1 cup
  3. Maida-1/2 cup
  4. Onions, grated coconut, green chillies - 1 cup
  5. Cumin seeds- 1 tsp
  6. Salt- as per our taste
  7. Oil- for roasting

Instructions

  1. Mix all ingredients with double the quantity of water except oil and let it rest for 20 minutes.
  2. Heat a non stick pan tawa on high flame.
  3. Add few drops of oil and pour a laddle full of batter from borders of tawa towards inside of tawa.
  4. We can see netted pattern.
  5. Let it roast for few min and add little oil at the borders and inside.
  6. Roast for few seconds and serve hot with coconut chutney or ginger pickle or mint chutney
