I tried serving the usual pancakes in a different layered cake style and it was a super hit !!!

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. 1 1⁄4 cups all-purpose flour
  2. 1 tablespoon Baking Powder
  3. 1 tablespoon sugar
  4. 1⁄4 teaspoon salt
  5. 1 cup non-fat or 1% milk
  6. 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  7. 2 tablespoons water
  8. One bowl fine chopped strawberries
  9. Nutella / Hersheys chocolate spread


  1. 1. We begin by preparing mixture for pancakes. Mix together flour, baking powder, sugar and salt in medium bowl.
  2. 2. Combine milk, oil and water. Add to dry ingredients.Stir just until moistened.
  3. 3. Lightly spray a large skillet or griddle with non-stick cooking spray or lightly wipe with oil. Heat skillet or griddle over medium-high heat.
  4. 4. I took a heart shaped mould and then for each pancake, pour about 1 and a half tablespoon of batter onto the mould and let it cook.
  5. 5. Pancakes are ready to turn when tops are bubbly all over, a few bubbles have burst, and the edges begin to appear dry. Use a quick flip with a broad spatula to turn pancakes. Prepare 4-5 such heart shaped pancakes.
  6. 6. Now spread the nutella or chocolate ganache on the surface of pancake and put chopped starberris on it, Spread evenly and add layers by layer following the same process.
  7. 7. Place the layers cake in middle of a dish, Sprinkle powdered sugar and just top it up with your favorite chocolate syrup to make it look irresistable.
