#Makkai ki roti

ABOUT #Makkai ki roti RECIPE

Makkai ki roti is a winter special north indian flat bread made with maize flour and relished with sarson ka saag.

Ingredients Serving: 8

  1. Maize flour 2 cup
  2. Luke warm water for kneading the dough
  3. Butter to top

Instructions

  1. Knead maize flour into very soft dough using luke warm water. Approx one and half cup.
  2. Pinch the dough into 3 inches balls. Makes approx 8 balls.
  3. Take a plastic sheet. Grease it with some oil.
  4. Place a dough ball in center of plastic sheet. Flatten it evenly into a disc of approx 5 inches circle by tapping the ball with your greased fingers.
  5. Lift the plastic sheet with your left hand and carefully transfee the flattened dough on to your right hand palm and quickly flip it on hot girdle.
  6. Let it cook for about 3 minutes and flip gently by lifting with a flat ladle.
  7. After 2 minutes remove the roti to direct flame and cook on both sides.
  8. Top with butter and serve with sarson ka saag.
