Generally makkir roti and sarson saag is served as main meal.. But here i have made the makki roti into small discs and topped them with sarson quinnel and served as started.. It is a mordern twist to the classic dish..

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. 1 cup makki atta
  2. 1/4 cup gehun atta
  3. 1/2tsp salt
  4. Warm water as required

Instructions

  1. Mix all the ingredients of makki roti and make a semi soft dough with warm water..
  2. Keep it aside for 15-20minutes..
  3. Take the dough and make small balls out of it.. Roll then into thin and small discs.. Cook on low flame from both sides for 2minutes each till crisp..
  4. Remove from flame and apply a dollop of ghee.. Put a quinnel of sarson ka saag and serve as starter
