A fuss-free chocolate cake that hits the spot.

170 gms - dark chocolate
50 gms - butter
1 tablespoon - ghee
125 gms - sugar
125 gms - cocoa powder
3 - eggs beaten
1 teaspoon - vanilla extract

Instructions

Preheat the oven to 170 °C.
Grease an 8-inch round spring form pan (line the bottom of the pan with parchment paper, cut to fit, and grease as well) and dust with cocoa powder.
Set a saucepan filled with water over medium heat. Place chocolate, butter and ghee in a bowl and stir until it begins to melt.
Remove and stir until well-blended. Stir in sugar, cocoa powder, beaten eggs and vanilla. Mix well.
Pour into the prepared pan. Bake in the preheated oven for 30 minutes.
Allow it to cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then turn out onto a wire rack and cool completely. Glaze if desired.
