ABOUT Mutta sirkka.(egg appam) RECIPE

Yet another malabar delicacy! A tasty & spongy roti, served as breakfast or dinner,with any gravy.

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. Raw rice 1 cup
  2. Cooked rice 1 cup
  3. Egg 1
  4. Salt
  5. Water,enough to make grind.
  6. Oil,to deep fry.

Instructions

  1. Soak rice for 2 hrs
  2. Grind the soaked rice with cooked rice,salt & beaten egg,adding enough water to make a thick,idli like batter.
  3. Keep for sometime.
  4. Heat oil in a kadai,pour big ladle full of batter straight into the hot oil. Pour hot oil on top of the sirkkas ,just to allow them,to pop up.
  5. Cook both sides well. Serve hot with any gravy.
