The ever popular roti from Punjab given a new twist by me with the addition of healthy greens spinach and fenugreek. This not only is wholesome but a complete meal in itself.It's a sure shot hit among the kids who are reluctant to eat green leafy veggies as they are unaware of it's presence in this.

Ingredients Serving: 3

  1. Whole Wheat Flour 1 cup
  2. Gram flour or besan 1/2 cup
  3. Oil or ghee 2 tbsp
  4. Salt 1 tsp
  5. Red chilli powder 1 tsp
  6. Red chilli flakes 1 tsp
  7. Carom seeds 1/2 tsp
  8. Coriander leaves or parsley chopped a handful
  9. turmeric a pinch
  10. Water as needed

Instructions

  1. Make a smooth dough with all the ingredients using water. Leave it aside for 30 mins.
  2. The dough will look like this. Make medium balls out of it and start rolling after 30 mins.
  3. Cook them using ghee or oil on medium to low flame by flipping over when done on one side. Both the sides should be well cooked.
  4. Make all rotis in this way. Serve them hot with a dollop of butter and some raita.
