Ingredients to make Instant Upwas Thalipeeth

  • Sago/ sabudana 1/2 cup
  • Bhagar/Variche tandul 1 cup
  • Boiled mashed potatoes 2
  • Groundnuts coarsely grounded 2-3 tsp
  • jeera/cumin seeds 1-2 tsp
  • green chilly 3
  • ginger 1/2 inch
  • red chilly powder according to taste
  • salt to taste
  • coriander leaves 3-4 tsp
  • water as needed
  • ghee for roasting

How to make Instant Upwas Thalipeeth

  1. Take a pan dry roast sabudana and bhagar both separately for 2-3 minutes.
  2. After roasting grind both together into a fine powder.
  3. Make ginger green chilly paste.
  4. Take a bowl, add powdered sabudana & bhagar, mashed potatoes, ginger green chilly paste, jeera, groundnuts, coriander leaves, salt & red chilly powder.
  5. Now add water to make a soft dough, divide it into equal parts.
  6. Heat a non stick pan & cook using ghee, till they turn crispy golden brown from both the sides.
  7. Serve hot with green chutney or curd.

My Tip:

You can avoid coriander if you do not eat during fasts.
