How to make Sweet Potato Puri

  1. Boil or steam sweet potato for 3 whistles , add water in the pressure cooker , sweet potatoes should be dry
  2. Peel sweet potato
  3. Let them cool down
  4. Grate the boiled sweet potatoes
  5. Now add atta , chilli powder , salt , ajwain seeds , coriander leaves
  6. Also add curry powder , aamchoor powder and oil or ghee
  7. Now add little water
  8. Knead a stiff dough
  9. Cover and keep aside for 20 to 30 mins
  10. Now make a roll of the dough and cut same size pieces (size of a lemon) with a knife
  11. Roll them with a little oil
  12. Roll all the puris , not very thin or big
  13. Heat enough oil in a kadai for deep fry the puris
  14. Wait until the oil is hot enough for frying
  15. Now add the puris and press them with the spatula softly
  16. They will be puffed up . Flip over
  17. Fry all the puris
  18. Serve hot with your favourite curry

My Tip:

Mix water carefully , potatoes have water . If it becomes soft add more atta. It should be stiff.
