ABOUT Gulab Jamun Pudding RECIPE

Most favourite Indian sweet in a different form. Thick creamy milk pudding layered with soft sweet gulab jamun in between and topped with crushed pistachio

Ingredients Serving: 3

  1. Base-
  2. 1 packet marie gold biscuit
  3. 75 gm melted butter
  4. Pudding -
  5. 12 gulab jamuns
  6. 2 sachets whipping powder
  7. 1/2 cup cold milk
  8. 1 tetra pack Nestle cream
  9. 1/4 tsp saffron essence / 2tbsp saffron milk
  10. 1tbsp gelatin
  11. 1/2 cup condensed milk
  12. 1/4 cup crushed pistachio

Instructions

  1. Powder the biscuits and mix with melted butter and press into the tin on bottom and sides. Then refrigerate it for 15 mins
  2. Cut gulab jamun into half and layer it on the biscuit layer
  3. In a clean mixing bowl beat together whipping powder and cold milk until thick and foamy ( whipping cream can also be used.)
  4. Then add cream , condensed milk saffron essence /saffron milk (add a pinch of saffron to boiled 2 tbsp milk allow to soak for 20 mins) it gives the light yellow colour to the pudding.
  5. soak the gelatin in water
  6. Add the gelatin mix to the above cream layer mix it well and pour into the tin. You can add the remaining jamuns in between too
  7. Finally top the sides with the crushed pistachio and chill it for 3 hours until set .
