ABOUT Banana Semiya Sweet RECIPE

Semiya are cooked in a creamy coconut milk with chunks of banana, that melt in your mouth with every bite

Ingredients Serving: 3

  1. 1 cup semiya
  2. 2 cup coconut milk
  3. 3/4cup Sugar
  4. 1 tsp cardamom
  5. 2 big ripe raw banana /kerela nethrapazham or yethapazham
  6. 4 tbsp ghee

Instructions

  1. Roast the semiya in 1 tbsp ghee and keep aside
  2. Chop the banana into small pieces . banana used should be ripe and sweet.
  3. In a pan add coconut milk , sugar , chopped banana and allow it to boil and cook the banana a bit .
  4. Then add the roasted semiya ,cardomom powder and cook. Finally add the remaining ghee.
  5. When the semiya is cooked pour into the mould in semi-liquid consistency so that when cooled it gets set well. it should not be thick while pouring. if thick add more coconut milk.
  6. Garnish with nuts of your choice.
