Sabudana is good for bone health as well as good for digestion. The recipe that makes me feel closet to my heritage is the indian desert kheer which is prepared on all occassions n festivals and also as an offering to god.

Ingredients Serving: 5

  1. 1 litre milk
  2. 3/4 cup sabudana
  3. 3/4 cup sugar
  4. 1/2 cup cream
  5. 1 tsp elaichi Powder
  6. 5/6 threads of saffron
  7. 1/2 cup chopped dry fruits


  1. Firstly soak sabudana in 1 cup water for 30mins..
  2. Soak saffron in 2 tbspvwarm milk
  3. Now Take a heavy bottom pan and keep milk for boiling.. Add sugar and elaichi powder..
  4. Once your milk starts boiling add sabudana and keep stirring to avoid sabudana sticking at the bottom..
  5. Boil milk till the sabudana are transparent like pearls.. Now add cream and let yuur kheer cook on low flame keep stirring.
  6. Add saffron addmix well.. Off the flame and let it cool..
  7. keep in fridge for 3_4 hours n serve chilled.. Garnish with dry fruits while serving.
