ABOUT Eggless Whole Wheat Dutch Truffle With Two-Flavor Frosting ( Without Oven ) RECIPE

Many times people get intimidated on thinking of baking cakes at home and that too without an oven. I want those newbies to see that it is as easy as cooking our routine meals.

Ingredients Serving: 8

  1. For the milk ganache- 150 gm milk chocolate or Compound
  2. 75 gm Amul fresh cream
  3. 1 teaspoon butter
  4. For the dark ganache-150 gm dark chocolate/ Compound
  5. 75 gm Amul fresh cream
  6. 1 teaspoon Amul butter
  7. For the cake-1 cup Whole wheat flour or Maida
  8. 4 1/2 teaspoon cocoa powder
  9. 3/4 cup sugar
  10. 1/2 cup Milk
  11. 1/2 cup oil ( Sunflower )
  12. 1/2 cup thick curd
  13. 1/4 cup hot water
  14. 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  15. 1 teaspoon baking soda
  16. 1 teaspoon vanilla essence
  17. Sugar balls to sprinkle

Instructions

  1. Prepare the milk ganache first- Mix up the dark chocolate, butter and cream in a pan.
  2. Boil water in a pan and keep this one on top so that it gets heat of the steam. ( Double Boiler Method )
  3. Let it all get mixed up well. Use a spatula.
  4. Remove from heat when chocolate almost melts, as overheating also spoils the texture.Whisk gently.
  5. Let it stand for a few hours so that it can be used for decoration.
  6. Similarly, prepare the dark ganache and let it rest for 4-5 hours too.
  7. Apply oil all over the cake tin and dust with flour. Remove excess flour.
  8. Take a big Aluminum pan ( Sipdi ) and heat it on full gas with lid on for 10 minutes.
  9. Lower the flame, place any steel ring in the hot vessel on which we will place the cake tin.
  10. While the vessel is preheating Mix up the cake batter.
  11. Stir together the atta, sugar, cocoa powder, Baking powder and baking soda.
  12. Add in the oil, milk , curd , vanilla essence and hot water. Mix well to get a smooth batter.
  13. Pour the batter in the cake tin.
  14. Place it on the ring and place the vessel on the gas on low flame.
  15. Cover With a lid and cook for about 25-30 minutes.
  16. Cool for 10 minutes and demould it.
  17. Cut the cake in two layers.
  18. Sprinkle sugar syrup on the inside layers of the cake.
  19. Frost the bottom layer with dark ganache.Place the top layer too.
  20. Cover the sides and top of the cake with dark ganache.
  21. Decorate Using the milk ganache.
  22. Decorate the whole cake.
  23. For more decoration, sprinkle sugar balls.
  24. Keep in fridge till serving time.
