A healthy and colourful snack for kids which is nutritious as well as tempting for them. Learned this recipe from a friend.

Ingredients Serving: 2

  1. 1/2 cup roasted sooji
  2. 1/4 tsp mustard seeds
  3. 3 tbsp carrot finely chopped
  4. 3 tbsp boiled corn
  5. 3 tbsp capsicum finely chopped
  6. 1 tsp lemon juice
  7. 1 tbsp ghee
  8. Salt to taste
  9. Pinch of asafoetida (heeng)
  10. Curry leaves- a few

Instructions

  1. Add mustard seeds to it. When they start to sputter, add asafoetida and curry leaves.
  2. Add all the vegetables and saute till they turn transparent.
  3. Add salt to this and a little water and boil the mixture.
  4. Now add sooji and lemon juice to it and cook for about 5 mins.
  5. Keep stirring continuously to avoid lumps.
  6. Cook till the mixture turns thick.
  7. Serve to the kids in a round (ball) shape to make it interesting for them.
