ABOUT Khubani Ka Meetha RECIPE

Khubani or dried apricot ka meetha is a delicious traditional Hyderabadi sweet dish

Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. Khubani (dried apricots)- 25-28 pieces
  2. Sugar as per taste
  3. Sliced almonds (badam)- 10-12 pieces

Instructions

  1. Rinse the khubani well.
  2. Soak them overnight in enough water.
  3. Remove from water the next day and keep the water aside. Do not throw the water.
  4. Deseed the khubani and coarsely grind in a mixer.
  5. Transfer the khubani in a pan and add one cup of the strained water.
  6. Cook on low flame for 22-25 minutes stirring continuously. If the mixture looks dry add some water.
  7. Now add sugar according to taste and cook for 5-6 minutes or more.
  8. Sprinkle sliced almonds and serve warm with fresh cream or ice cream
