ABOUT Chicken Korma RECIPE

A rich and creamy chicken dish which is loved by all.

Ingredients Serving: 5

  1. 6 tbsp Oil
  2. 1 tsp Grated Ginger
  3. 1 tsp minced garlic
  4. 2 tsp cumin seeds
  5. 1 bay leaf
  6. 3 cups Pureed onions
  7. 2 cinnamon sticks
  8. 200 ml ready made tomato puree
  9. 3/4 Red Chilli powder
  10. 1 tsp Salt
  11. 2 tsp Roasted and ground cumin powder
  12. 2 tsp coriander powder
  13. 3/4 tsp Cardamom powder
  14. 3 tsp dry Fenugreek leaves
  15. 1 chicken cut into small pieces
  16. 3 1/2 cups water
  17. 1/2 cup Cream
  18. 3/4 tsp garam masala powder
  19. chopped coriander leaves for garnishing

Instructions

  1. Heat oil in a pan .Add 1 tsp minced garlic.Add grated ginger.
  2. Add bay leaf and cumin seeds.Let it crackle.
  3. Add 3 cups pureed onions.Cook till it is brown in color
  4. Add cinnamon sticks and tomato puree.Cook till it leaves oil.
  5. Add red chilli powder, salt, cumin powder ,coriander and cardamom powder .Add fenugreek leaves .Add 1 chicken , cut into small pieces.
  6. Add 3 1/2 cups water.
  7. Cook till gravy becomes thick.
  8. When it cools down , add cream and simmer for 5 minutes. Add garam masala powder.
  9. Garnish with chopped coriander.Serve with paranthas.
