Modak is made from leftover chappati in this recipe

Ingredients Serving: 2

  1. 4 leftover chappati
  2. 2 tbsp jaggery finely chopped
  3. 1/2 tsp cardamom powder
  4. 2 tsp ghee
  5. 1/4 cup badam and pistachio flakes

Instructions

  1. Make small pieces of chappati
  2. Grind chapati in a mixer
  3. Pass it through a strainer
  4. In a deep pan add ghee
  5. Add Roti powder
  6. Roast it for 2-3 minutes on low flame
  7. Remove it in a plate
  8. Add jaggery in same hot pan
  9. When it melts, add cardamom powder
  10. Mix jaggery with spatula
  11. Switch off flame ,add badam flakes
  12. Now shape modaks in a mould
  13. Modaks are ready to eat
