ABOUT Gajar Ka Halwa RECIPE

Gajar Halwa is one sweet dish which almost everyone is fond of. I have seen and heard from my mother that gajar halwa tastes great when it is slow cooked for few hours. As per my opinion, there is no shortcut to make gajar halwa. And that's the secret of my recipe.

Ingredients Serving: 6

  1. Carrots 1 kg
  2. Milk 1.5 litres
  3. Sugar 1.5 cup
  4. Cardamom 6-8
  5. Cashews 15-20
  6. Almonds 15-20
  7. Ghee 4 tbsp

Instructions

  1. First wash and grate the carrots.
  2. Take the rice cooker , switch it on and add carrots to it.
  3. Add all the milk in it.
  4. You may cover until the first boil comes
  5. Now remove the lid and let the carrot and milk mix cook. Keep stirring
  6. When the contents reduce to half add crushed cardamoms, sugar in it.
  7. Keep stirring it. Don't close lid of rice cooker
  8. Add cashews and almonds in it.
  9. Keep stirring it and let the contents cook until the liquid gets evaporated completely.
  10. Switch off the rice cooker.
  11. Now take a karahi,add ghee in It.
  12. Transfer gajar halwa in karahi
  13. Keep stirring it until ghee comes out on sides.
  14. Switch off the gas.
  15. Your gajar halwa is ready to be served
