ABOUT Betel Leaves(Paan) Coconut Gulkand Ladoos RECIPE

These are so delicious and yummy treat for any festive occasion. Gulukand Paan is very popular in Uttar Pradesh and these ladoos give a nice refeshing taste.

Ingredients Serving: 6

  1. 1/2 cup Desiccated coconut
  2. 4 tbsp milk
  3. 1/2 cup condensed milk
  4. 5 paan leaves
  5. 3 tbsp gulkand
  6. For Garnish -
  7. 4 tbsp desiccated coconut
  8. 2 tsp finely chopped pistachio

Instructions

  1. Dry roast desiccated coconut on low flame for 2-3 minutes.
  2. In a mixer jar pour condensed milk and add betel(Paan) leaves and make a nice paste in green color due to betel leaves.
  3. Add this paste to roasted coconut ,add some milk and whisk together on low flame for 2 mins.
  4. When the mixture leaves the sides of the utensil , switch off the flame and allow it to cool.
  5. Take a small portion of mixture , flatten it and add 1/2 tsp of gulkand and form a stuffed ladoo.
  6. Roll out each of the ladoo in desiccated coconut and garnish with chopped pistachios.
