Ingredients Serving: 4

  1. Grated coconut - 2cups
  2. Dessicated coconut (khopra)powder - 2 tablespoon
  3. Sugar - 1 cup
  4. saffron - few strands
  5. Milk - 3/4 cup
  6. Khoya (mawa) - 1/4 cup
  7. Green Cardamom Powder - 1/2 teaspoon
  8. Sliced almonds - 8-10 pcs

Instructions

  1. Grease 8×8 inch serving bowl with ghee and keep aside.
  2. Dissolve saffron in 1 tablespoon warm milk and keep aside.
  3. In a pan mix together grated coconut,sugar and milk.
  4. Turn on the flame to medium and cook the above mixture for 15-17 minutes stirring continuously.
  5. Cook untill all liquid evaporates.
  6. Now add in the saffron-milk mixture,khoya,dessicated coconut powder and cardamom powder.mix well.
  7. Cook for another 10 minutes.
  8. It should look sticky,dry and lumpy when done.
  9. Transfer to greased bowl and spread evenly.
  10. Top it up with sliced almonds.
  11. Let it cool completely then divide into equa pieces.
