Sooji Halwa

Ingredients to make Sooji Halwa

  • sooji 1cup
  • bananas 2
  • sugar 1/2 cup
  • cardamom powder 1/2 tsp
  • ghee 2 tbsp (can be adjusted less or more)
  • water 3/4 cup
  • Milk 3/4 cup

How to make Sooji Halwa

  1. In a deep pan add ghee
  2. Let it become warm
  3. Add sooji
  4. Roast till it turns golden brown
  5. Chop one banana into small pieces
  6. Now mix water and milk, boil it
  7. Add mixture of water and milk to sooji
  8. Let sooji absorb water
  9. Now add sugar
  10. Add cardamom powder
  11. Add chopped bananas
  12. Mix properly till sugar dissolves.
  13. Take it on banana leaf
  14. Cut other banana into round pieces
  15. Garnish halwa with these pieces

Adding homemade ghee gives better taste to halwa
