Banana Caramel Bites

Ingredients to make Banana Caramel Bites

  • bananas 2
  • sugar 1 cup
  • water 1/4 cup
  • butter 50 g
  • Fresh cream 1/2 cup
  • salt 1/4 tsp
  • peanuts 1/4 cup

How to make Banana Caramel Bites

  1. Dry roast the peanuts and allow to cool completely.
  2. When they cool down, remove the skin and chop into smaller pieces. Keep it aside.
  3. To make the salted caramel sauce, take sugar and water in a heavy bottomed pan and mix well.
  4. Allow it to boil. Stop stirring once it starts to boil. Swirl the pan if required.
  5. When the sugar syrup starts to change color and reaches a slight golden brown color, remove from flame and add the butter.
  6. Swirl the pan, until the butter dissolves completely.
  7. Next add in the fresh cream and salt. Mix well.
  8. Again warm the sauce for about a minute.
  9. Switch the flame off and allow to cool down completely.
  10. Now slice the bananas to about half centimeter thickness.
  11. Dip each banana slice in the salted caramel sauce and place on a butter paper.
  12. Top them with generous amounts of the chopped peanuts.
  13. Refrigerate for about half an hour (optional).
